So, What are Glyphs?
An example of a glyph is the letter "A", the symbol "&", or the number "7". Accented characters like "รฉ" or special signs like "ฮฉ" (Omega) are also glyphs. They are visual representations of a certain character. These glyphs are used to display text and symbols in written communication.
A character "A" might have different glyphs or how they are formed depending on whether it's an Arial font or a handwritten font like many of our users create on this website. So a glyph is a single symbol like small letter a, small letter b, or @ sign, and a font is a collection of glyphs designed to work together in a consistent style.
Therefore, a single font is made up of many, many glyphs!
